Spider Control & Info
Spiders and other arachnids are actually very helpful outside your home, but not so helpful inside your home. Their are 3 steps to Spider control and with the products we sell here at Pest Control Pros there is no need to hire a company to do it when you can do it yourself.
Three Steps to Better Spider Control
Since most spiders are ‘beneficial critters’, it is generally not necessary that you utilize spider repellents for spider control. In fact, step #1 is easy, completely free and will usually take care of any spider problems that might occur in your home. If necessary, steps #2 and #3 will take care of more serious spider control problems:
- Regularly clean your home and brush spider webs off the outside of your home with a broom or a vacuum. Remove spiders’ hiding spots when possible. In storage areas, place boxes on shelves above the floors and as far away from walls as possible.
- Prevent spiders from coming inside your home by sealing the cracks of your home’s foundation as well as any gaps around windows and doors.
- If a need for heavy spider extermination occurs, then you may choose to control them with the products listed belowg that you can easily use yourself:
Recommended Products for Spiders:
1. Spray a liquid insecticide concentrate such as Talstar Pro, Masterline Bifenthrin, Suspend SC, Cyper Wp , Demon WP or other products that are listed below around the perimeter of the building, and around windows and doors and other entry points. You can also spray inside along the baseboards and in the upper corners and bottom corners of walls. This is especially important in the garage and/or basement.
2. For heavier infestations dusting with an insecticide dust such as Delta Dust or Pyganic Dust may also be needed. Dust in attics and under baseboards and in wall voids.
