The Advanced Termite Bait System is the next generation in termite baiting. It is one of the most widely installed bait systems by professional pest control companies today. Unlike older bait systems, the Advance Termite bait stations have larger vertical slots that allow for maximum wood-to-soil contact, creating the perfect opportunity for termite attack. Each station contains a wood base and a Termite Inspection Cartridge of enticing Puri-Cell cullulose matrix that is very appetizing to termites. When termites are found in the stations, the cartridge is replaced with a termite bait that wipes out the entire termite colony.

This Advance Termite Bait System Pro Kit contains:

• 20 Termite Monitoring Stations that each contain a wood base and a termite inspection cartridge. These stations are to be placed 10 feet apart around your home. Place one on each corner and measure from the corners.
  
• 12 Termite Bait Cartridges for use when termite activity is present in the stations.
• 1 Spider Access Tool for easy access to the bait stations.
• This Kit will cover about 200 linear feet but it doesn't hurt to space them closer.

The Advanced Termite Bait System is the next generation in termite baiting. The termite bait station features vertical slots that allow for maximum wood-to-soil contact, creating the perfect opportunity for termite attack. Each station contains a Termite Monitoring Base with preferred wood that is appetizing to termites. Above this rests a second cellular source, the Termite Inspection Cartridge containing Puri-Cell matrix in a clear cartridge that makes inspection easy. A Quick-Lock cap eliminates keys and hinges. The Spider access tool allows a technician to open the the stations easily while standing.



USE: Install around the perimeter of homes and commercial buildings. Stations are placed in the ground (usually with a post hole digger or shovel) every 10 feet around the structure. The stations will attract termites before they ever reach the structure, then allowing you to bait and eventually kill the termites. Monitor the stations on a quarterly basis. If termite activity is present, replace the Inspection Cartridge with the Termite Bait Cartridge.

Termite Control using the Advance Termite Baiting System

Termite baiting is a relatively new, but proven method of termite control that doesn't require the application of liquid termiticides into the soil. It also doesn't require drilling through foundation walls, flooring, or other interior structural parts of the home, making installation a simpler, less intrusive process.

Termite baiting is a very useful treatment option when soil conditions or the presence of wells or cisterns in the area to be treated make liquid treatments inadvisable, or when drilling through flooring or other structural obstacles would be difficult or impossible.

Termite bait systems are also popular with customers who simply prefer the baiting approach to liquid treatment. This is largely a matter of personal preference because modern non-repellent liquid treatments like Termidor are also applied in very low dosages. Still, some consumers consider baiting systems to be a more environmentally friendly, "green" termite solution.

How does Termite Baiting Work?

Most Professional Termite companies use  the Advance Termite Baiting System because it's the best and most effective termite baiting system on the market. Manufactured by Whitmire Labs, the industry's all-time leader in low-dosage, precision pest control. Another thing we like about Advance is that its label allows for the use of other products in conjunction Advance, whereas other baiting products (like Sentricon) do not allow the use of other products.

The Advance Termite Baiting System is installed in the soil. High-density plastic stations are placed around the home or other structure to be protected. (When necessary, the stations may also be installed through concrete, but usually this isn't required.)

Once the stations are installed, a cellulose bait is placed in each station. Cellulose is the component in wood that gives it structural rigidity. It's also what termites eat.

The stations are periodically inspected by a specially trained technician in this case you would save money and do it yourself (they charge $75 a quarter or more), and when termite activity is detected, the cellulose bait is replaced with a cartridge containing a matrix of cellulose and a slow acting termiticide. But unlike Sentricon, the bottom section (TMB) inside the station is undisturbed, thereby reducing the chance of disturbing the termites and chasing them away. Be very careful when changing the monitor to the bait so that you don't distrub them..

The termites continue to feed on the bait matrix and spread the termiticide throughout the colony. Over the course of time, the colony is eliminated. When that happens, the bait matrix is replaced with the plain cellulose bait, and the stations continue to be monitored for new termite activity.
